is a HUD approved, non-profit organization located in Rockford, IL that provides homeowners with housing counseling services for the Program. HomeStart specializes in educating, counseling and advising on a wide range of housing issues, including foreclosure. The organization works in partnership with residents, local elected officials, and business leaders to strengthen communities within the Northern Illinois region.
Resolution Systems Institute (RSI)
assists courts in making more effective and efficient use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Through a grant from the Illinois Attorney General, RSI runs foreclosure mediation programs in Lake, Kane, Winnebago and Boone counties. It has also designed an online foreclosure mediation case management and evaluation system and trained foreclosure mediators in jurisdictions throughout Illinois. RSI works closely with the 17th Judicial Circuit to develop and run the Foreclosure Mediation Program in Winnebago and Boone counties.
